Celebrate Centenary Day at Our Lady of Victories Church

Apr 26, 2025, 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Celebrate 100 years to the day since Queensland’s premier Catholic WWI memorial church was blessed and opened. This iconic Brisbane landmark, known as the ‘White Temple of Peace, has stood as a beacon of remembrance, resilience, and faith for generations.

During this special centenary celebration, discover the untold stories, hidden histories, and historic images that reveal the people and events shaping this sacred place. See where St John Paul II once visited and said Mass before becoming Pope, and immerse yourself in Polish culture and hospitality.

Take a quiet moment of reflection before the unique Honour Roll, commemorating 1,824 Queenslanders who lost their lives in the Great War, and help us continue to unearth the rich history of this church—we invite you to share your memories and stories.
